Requirements for 4-Color Digital Printing.
Digital printing is generated from computers. Your design, including pictures, must be in digital format, and some requirements are, but not limited to:
1- Pictures: Must be at least 300 dpi, in the actual size to be printed. When shooting digital pictures, make sure to setup your camera to the highest resolution.
2- Text: Small text should be avoided. Usually any type under 9 points couldn't produce crisp, highly detailed printout. Also, use high contrast between the background and the text color for "eye-catching" copy..
3- PMS: Digital Printing uses four-process color technology; traditionally process colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. PMS matching is not possible in this imprint method. If your corporate logo contains PMS colors, be aware that it's matched to the closest color, but it is not guaranteed.
4- Format: File format should conform the printing standards to avoid delays and additional charges. Always work in the actual size of the product, use CMYK color palette and submit original files of all pictures and fonts used in your design.
